Seller Questions

Q1: Why should I register as a seller here? OR why should I sell my products here?

We allow you to sell free of charge for a limited time. Also, we let you sell in your price range, so you don’t lose buyers to another site. Also, whenever a buyer commits too low price (low ball offer) we decline automatically without bothering you. We also let you negotiate via email when a buyer is serious but still short of your lowest price.

Q2: What kind of products can I sell here?

We have launched the marketplace to sell products in Automobiles, Jewelry, Furniture, Industrial Products, and Electronics. We believe these categories will have high priced products where negotiation or haggling may occur. Please register yourself and upload a product in these categories.

Q3: How do I get paid for selling my product?

We allow two ways depending on categories. Sometimes buyers use us to finalize the price and generate a voucher or introduction email. Once we do that, you and the buyer can meet in person to finish other logistics (payment, delivery, etc.). Other times we will collect tax, shipping cost, and product price from the buyer, and once you fulfill the order (Ship it, for example), we can reimburse you for shipping cost and pricing. You will be paid within 15 days of fulfilling the order.

Q4: When do I negotiate? When will I be contacted?

You will upload a product by giving us the price range. Your ideal selling price and the lowest at which you can sell. If a buyer is offering in this range, we match and close the deal (sell the product). However, if the buyer is serious and commits a little lower offer than your lowest price (let’s say within 10%), we will let you and the buyer negotiate via email. We will not undersell your product unless you agree.

Q5: I don’t want to be bothered after I upload a product. Is it possible?

Yes, you will not be bothered if a buyer commits to pay the price in your range when we will close the deal or sell your product and similarly if a buyer if offering too low (low ball offer) price. We will decline in that case without bothering you too.

Q6: I agreed to a price with a buyer, and s/he didn’t show up. What shall I do?

You will be able to rate the buyer after a successful introduction OR closing the deal. If we introduced two parties after the price was finalized and the buyer didn’t show up for taking possession, you can ding him/her in the buyer’s reviews which will be available to other sellers in the future.

Buyer Questions

Q1: Why should I buy from your marketplace? How is this different?

Good question. We allow you to commit your offer (usually lower than the listing price) when the seller is ready to sell in a price range. Similarly, when your offer is serious but a little lower than the seller’s lowest offer, we let you negotiate via email with a seller.

Q2: How do I negotiate the price?

Assuming you are committing your price. It can be one of the three ways: 1) If you offer within the seller’s price range, you get the product at a lower price. 2) If you offer a little less than the seller’s price range, it is possible the seller may negotiate a lower price with you and agree through email. 3) If you offer too low (or low ball offer), then we will decline gracefully.

Q3: Is it possible to find out the seller’s lowest price?

We do not like to game a system, so we allow you to offer a maximum of 1-2 times. If it doesn’t match, you can come again after a week to try to offer the same product.

Q4: How do I pay for my order?

Assuming you closed the deal with the seller and agreed to a price for the product, we allow two ways to pay depending on the product/category: 1) You can meet the seller and finish remaining formalities. See the product. For example, if you are buying a car, then you can meet the dealer, do a test drive, pay in person, and get the delivery too. You have peace of mind price in a voucher. 2) For some products that are shippable, we will collect tax, shipping charges, and product price, and our seller will mail you the product based on the shipping option you chose.

Q5: I got the price in a voucher and the seller is not selling me at that price. What do I do?

At the end of any purchase, you will be able to rate the seller by giving a 1-to-5-star review, and that will be visible in the product catalog. Similarly, if you don’t pay or schedule a meeting after you committed to buy, the seller will review you too.

Q6: Can I refund the product I buy?

Depending on the product, yes, we will like to refund you for the product you received damaged or for other reasons. Send an email to refunds@autodealcloser.com to find out if your product is refundable or not.
